Disinfecting your fresh water tank is a simple process. Follow these steps below:

- Remove your whole house filter cartridge
- Put the housing back on without the filter
- Drain the fresh water tank
- Combine a mixture of 1/4 cup bleach in one gallon of water
- Turn off the valve and dump the solution into your fresh water tank
- Top off the tank with fresh water
- Inside, turn on your fresh water pump
- Turn on the kitchen facet, leave on until you smell bleach, turn off and repeat in your bathroom and outdoor shower faucets
- Let the solution sit for four hours and then dump your tank
- Refill with water and repeat the process of running your water through each faucet in your RV until you no longer smell bleach
