Top Floor Plan Features
Power and Performance
The Winnebago Roam is a camper van built on the Ram ProMaster(r) chassis with a 280-hp, 3.6L V6 gas engine, a 9-speed automatic transmission, and a 180-amp alternator. A safe and smooth ride is ensured with the ABS brakes and SuperSprings(r) SumoSprings(r) in the front and rear. The trailer hitch has a 3,500-lb. drawbar/350-lb. maximum vertical tongue weight. 2 deep-cycle Group 31 batteries with automatic dual-battery charge control, auxiliary start circuit, coach battery disconnect system, and 30-amp power cord power the Roam.
You'll stay cool in the summers with the Coleman Mach 10 NDQ air conditioner (for model without pop-top bed) and Elwell Timberline has you covered in the winter as well as for your hot water. The on-demand water pump, water center control panel, heated drainage system, and 10' sewer hose round out your plumbing needs.
Driver Safety and Convenience Features
The Winnebago Roam's cab seats have 3-point seat belts, armrests, adjustable lumbar support, adjustable headrest, and slide, swivel, and recline capability. The digital rearview mirror, cruise control, push to start, power door locks and remote with keyless entry are included for your convenience. Monitor and enjoy your drive with an all digital instrument cluster and 7" multimedia touchscreen infotainment center with color rear view monitor/camera system and radio with Apple CarPlay(r), Android Auto(tm), Bluetooth(r), SiriusXM(r) capability, JBL(r) Speakers, USB ports and steering wheel controls.
Easily make adjustments in the cab with power steering with telescoping wheel, power mirrors with defrost and turn signal, power windows, sunvisors, and cab privacy screen. While on the road Winnebago keeps your mind at ease, the safety features include pedestrian detection with forward collision mitigation, blind spot monitoring, crosswind assist, and post collision braking. Extra coverage is provided with side curtain and side seat bolster airbags in addition to the driver and passenger front airbags. Fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors finish off the Roam's safety features.
Roam Exterior
The Winnebago Roam has aluminum running boards and comes in three exterior paint options: bright white, deep cherry or bright silver. The sleek design makes it easy to maneuver with a length of 19' 9" and width of 6'9". For convenience an assist bar and porch light are located near the side entry door as well as a pet loop attachment. Enter the camper van through the sliding door which provides for independent acces on the under vehicle Braun UVL wheelchair lift with wireless remote and a 750 lb capacity.
Roam Interior
Inside the Roam, safety is noticed first with the Q'Straint wheelchair tie downs and shoulder belt which turn a wheelchair into a secured seat. The cab chairs are comfortable and functional, not only for driving but also lounging when swiveled toward the galley area. Heavy duty vinyl flooring, tinted coach windows, and a 24" TV provide an enjoyable atmosphere for you and your travel companions. If you choose a van with the optional pop-top FROLI(r) sleep system which sleeps two, an access ladder is located just behind the cab. In the galley, access items from the pull down storage compartment, adjust the lighting or air conditioning and prepare dinner on the Corian counters easily from a seated position.
The galley has a pull-out countertop extension, 3.0 cubic ft 12V single door refrigerator/freezer, stainless steel sink, microwave, and an outlet for an induction cooktop. Past the galley, the wet bath continues to keep mobility a top priority, with a swiveling cassette toilet, assist bar, and flexible showerhead. In the rear, a powered sofa bed that sleeps two, has a flip-up dinette table with extending table leaf, and two 3-point seat belts which provides a multi-use space for sleeping, eating, and traveling.
