Prep your adventure-mobile, hop in the helm and mark your map for a westward path to Needles, California. In celebration of International Talk Like a Pirate Day, we're highlighting the ultimate RV resort for the wild rover in us all.

Who doesn't love a good pirate adventure? Picture yourself with your RV parked just off the Colorado River, the wind tussling your hair as the gentle crackle of a campfire accompanies the beckoning call of nature just around the bend. With no timeshare, no membership fee and always open to the public, Pirate Cove Resort delivers the kind of freedom that the notorious pirates of old would sing about.

While this resort does house beachfront and marina view cabins, the real treat comes in the premium waterfront RV campsites along the Colorado River. Each campsite includes full hook-ups, access to restrooms, laundry and shower facilities and is just a short walk away from the marina restaurant, bar, general store, and boutique! Bring your furry family members along too. Pets are allowed on RV sites, so long as they are leashed around other pets.

RVers can enjoy special rates for a limited time, now through October 31st with the choice between a 3-night VIP weekday or weekend package, saving you up to $70 on standard rates.

The dreamy peninsula resort offers easy accessibility for your other toys too. Just park your off-road vehicle next to your RV and have your boat pulled at a nearby boat slip with twenty-four-hour access to a gas fueling station. Once you've had your fill out on the open water, kick back and wind down to the crackle and warmth of the resort fire pits.

Everybody knows that pirates enjoy plenty of leisure and play. From the water playground and the winding nature trail to the Polaris off-road adventures and yacht charter cruises, everyone in the family will be relishing the pirate's life.

Be the captain for a day and navigate your own vessel through Topock Gorge and land at your very own private beach. Discover ancient American Indian petroglyphs, local wildlife and the breathtaking native plant life. Take the kids on a fishing trip they'll never forget or go on a tubing and jet-ski excursion, after all, you're the captain during your resort stay!

To satisfy the landlubbers in your family, take an off-road journey through the Beal Slough Adventure Trail or the Oatman Ride on Historic Route 66. To get in the spirit of the spooky season, be sure to jump in on the Pirate Cove's Off-Road Halloween Hunt on October 26, 2019. A breakfast buffet will be included during this special event, but don't fill up on too many scrambled eggs and sausage! The hunt includes multiple candy and prize stops throughout the resort, ending with an after-party with live music, raffle giveaways, grand prizes, Halloween contests, and of course plenty of food and drink!
